Michael Pezent

Solo acoustic cover act

Hello! My name is Micheal Pezent and I am 2nd Round Music. I' m a solo solo acoustic cover act that tries to stick to my country roots playing mostly (what I call) pre-millennial classic country music, but I’ll mix in some southern rock and classic rock along the way. I draw music from many of my early influences like Randy Travis, Merle Haggard and Don Williams. Many have described my voices to sound like country greats Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks.

I currently live in Walton County(Ga) and have been in this area for over 25 years. I’m originally from LA, that’s Lower Alabama for all you guys that are not from the south! ;-)

My musical history goes way back to when I started singing publicly in high school and learned to play the guitar from my brother when I was a freshman in college. From there I started playing for my fraternity brothers and friends and also doing some appearances at the local clubs in town. Over about the next ten years, I started playing and fronted several bands. I’ve been blessed to have played at a multitude of venues from Atlanta to Valdosta and several points in between. One band, I fronted, got the opportunity to open up for David Lee Murphy right after his song ‘Dust On The Bottle’ made the country charts. Most recently, I've also had the opportunity to open up a couple of regional bands, The Mad Hatters and Kinchafoonee Cowboys. I just recently got the opportunity to go to Nashville to record two songs for a talent showcase TV show by the name of Ascending Sounds from Singing News TV.

Check back here often for my most up to date schedule of live shows. Hope to see you at one and as I always say, “I love ya and I need ya!”
